Invasion of the Ninja (by Jeffrey Allen Davis)

I really loved how the Ninja attacked the school in the middle of a dance and the main characters a group of preteens called adventure swoop in and save them, yet they get stuck in the school because the Ninja bombed the bridge. I think Jamie Ralph is a good example of saying; 'Just because you can do something doesn't mean you have to do it. Keep up the good work, Dad!

Alcorn's Detective novel Deception is based in Portland, Oregon. The main character in this novel is experienced homicide detective Ollie Chandler and when somebody murders a college professor its up to him to solve a case a little on the strange side. With clues like ink in the bloodstream and a noose around his neck and a few gunshots which are all labeled as not the cause of death.

"This Star Won't Go Out" By Esther Earl , is about a young girl with metastasized papillary thyroid cancer. This book is the actual story to " The Fault In Our Stars" By John Green. Esther has put her diary entry's into a book to describe how she felt through the cancer. I recommend this book to all teens.

This book was a sequel to Hooked. It was great and a definite recommended read.The girl and boy main characters begin by hating each other. They come from different backgrounds. They couldn't be more complete opposites could they? The story takes quite a few turns and it includes the characters but does not focus on the previous story.

This tragic, heartwarming story of Hazel Grace, a dying teenager cancer patient, meeting the soon to be love of her life, Augustus Waters. Every day is a struggle to breathe, literally. Hauling around a tank supporting her life, Hazel is a homebody with her parents, watching ANTM and taking college classes. Her mother forces her to join a support group, claiming depression is taking her. There, she meets Augustus. The rest of the story is of the adventures and the roller coaster of life that only goes up. To read this is to read of teenage love in an original way.

Clary is supposedly an average girl. She lives in New York, has an overprotective mother, and a goofy best friend Simon. Then one night, while at a club with Simon, life changed. Clary saw events that were suppose to be unseen to the average human's eye, and this is when she found out she has the Sight. Clary has now gotten sucked into a world that would have been her own if not for her mother. The story outlines the trials it takes to find her mother, and find herself.

Candide (by Voltaire)

This book was written sometime in the 1700's, however, the english is not that old timed. Candide is about a man name Candide and all of his misadventures through life. He presides in a providence in Germany under the rule of royalty, and this is where he falls in love with the fair Cunnengonde. Candide and Cunnengonde get together briefly one night, are caught, and Candide is kicked out of the beautiful land in Germany.
