Dear Irene is a very carefully plotted, and well-written book.  This book is definitely for those who are very enthusiastic about murder mysteries.  I gave this book only 3 stars however due to my distaste of gory murder mysteries.  I suggest not checking out this book if you want a light, and positive read.  Although if you want a book to keep you on the edge of your seat, I highly recommend it.  Over all "Dear Irene" is a very well throught out thriller, with a mythological twist.
