The Sisterhood of the
Traveling Pants
by Ann Brashares

The book was amazing! It followed 4 friends and their awesome summers right down to the last detail! Before their summer even starts though they find a magical pair of blue jeans that keeps them connected even though they are so far apart. I couldn't put this book down it was so great! I think every girl should read this book because every one can relate to a character in some way.

This is a great book about 4 friends who must spend their first summer apart. Athletic Bridget goes to a soccer camp in Mexico where she meets a handsome boy, Eric. Beautiful Lena goes to Greece where she meets her grandparents for the first time ever. Creative Carmen goes to Carolina to see her dad. There Carmen finds out the depressing news that her dad's getting remarried again! And troubling Tibby stays home and makes a movie with her new friend Bailey. But because of a magic pair of jeans the girls learn how to stay connected even when they're far apart. This is an exciting book I would highly recommend to any girl.

A must read for all teen girls looking for a creative way to spend their time. You'll laugh, cry, and need the next two books, while in the process of reading this one. It is a tale of four friends getting ready to spend their first summer apart. But the day before the plane trips begin, the friends discover a pair of magical pants; a pair of pants that fit each girl perfectly, even with their different builds. The pants are a way for the friends to be together, even while they are on separate adventures.

This book would be one of the best books I've ever read! It had 4 different characters (Tibby, Bridget, Carmen, Lenna) who all shared 1 pair of jeans. Lenna went to Greece. Bridget went to soccer camp in Baja California, Carmen went to visit her dad & Tibby was making a film. On their journey they all find surprises and face struggles. This book is great for girls I think because it really relates to them.

"The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" is a very good book, so good it's become one of my favorites. This book was unique because, unlike other books, it relates to life very well. I mean, other books have related to life, but the way the author did it, I though, was phenomenal. I personally could relate to the characters very well because it was so realistic. The book is about 4 friends keeping touch through a pair of pants that magically fit them all perfectly. Since they each spend their summer in different places, they pass the pants to one another, which keeps them in touch. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a little bit of humor, mixed with reality.

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is an amazing book about 4 best friends who are about to spend their first summer apart, when they are suddenly all attracted to a pair of secondhand jeans and are shocked to realize that it fits each and every one of them. They form a sisterhood of the pants and send it to each other throughout the summer to keep in touch. The pants first follow shy, beautiful, artistic Lena to Greece, where a shocking incident and a big misunderstanding leads to not only a huge fight between her grandparents and her friends, but to Lena falling in love! The pants then go to the sarcastic but caring Tibby, who takes on a summer job at Wallman's, and through making her "suckumentary", also makes a good friend with a bad illness. When Carmen arrives in South Carolina, her Dad makes a shocking announcement! He's getting remarried to a blonde family that Puerto Rican Carmen can't stand. Finally the pants meet energetic but lonely Bridget at a Californian soccer camp, who takes out her feelings by flirting dangerously with a male coach. This book will keep you turning pages forever, and it's sad to see the pants go back in Carmen's closet. I recommend this book to all teenage girls. It's great. I loved this book because it's so much fun. There's a little bit of all the characters in everyone. Read it!

This book is absolutely fantastic. Despite the goofy title, it has serious themes to the story. Directed toward females, this book can be for all ages, 10 and up. The main themes to the story: friendship and love. As you follow four very different girls' summers, you watch them grow and change in the plot. The book that started the movie is rich with humor, but deep with heart, will make you "laugh, cry, and share the pants." Once you pick up this book, it's almost impossible to put down. You become attached to the characters like you are in their shoes. Read it!

"The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" is about how four best friends spend their first summer apart. They find a pair of pants that magically fits all of them. They decide to send the pants to each where each of them were going: Bethesda, MD, Baja, CA, Charleston, SC, and Oia, Greece.
This is a really great book. It is the first of the three-book series. I would recommend it to all YA girls. It is one of my favorite books.

The book was about 4 girls who came from different backgrounds and are very different. They are best friends and this is their first summer apart from each other. But, they feel like they are all together though the pants. I would recommend this book to my friends. I think any girl could relate to at least one of the characters in this book.
