It's the year 3005 and the world is destroyed and now is run by ruthless and dangerous gang leaders. Books are things of the past; instead they are replaced by mind probes-needles that you stick in your brain and you "live" the book. Spaz is one of the few who cannot use mind probes because of epilepsy. Therefore, he got his nickname. One day, after stealing things from an odd old man, he learns that his sister is very ill and would like to see him before she dies. He goes and meets many interesting people and has many adventures.
