The Lightning Thief
by Rick Riordan

This book was a story about a half-human half-god, also known as half blood, named Percy Jackson. Zeus's master lightning bolt was stolen and the prime suspect is Percy. Now, Percy and his friends have ten days to return it. The Lightning Thief is quite a unique book. It has taught me a little about Greek gods. How our lives would be if we were a half-blood. Also, it has a great adventure. The Lightning Thief is for every age and action packed.

A boy named Percy finds out he is a half-blood ( son of a god) and his dad is Poseidon. A war is about to happen because the masterbolt is stolen and Percy is sent out to find it with two friends, Grover and Annabeth. They think it's Hades but when they get there they find out it's Ares. Percy fights Ares and Percy wins. He returns the masterbolt back to Zeus and there was no war. This book is very unique because it has Greek myths and the modern world mixed. I would definitely recommend this book to my friends. I enjoyed this book because I am interested in Greek myths.

The Lightning Thief is one of the best books I have ever read. I enjoyed it because it has adventure and takes you into a whole different world. I think this book is unique because not many books have Greek mythology in the story. It can tech you a lot. Also I think this book is unique because kids/teens of many ages can read and enjoy this book.

The book I read was the Lightning Thief. This book was very exciting and action-packed. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys history, myths, and action. If I had to rate this book, I would give it a nine because it was so thrilling and had something new with every twist and turn. In this book, twelve year-old Percy Jackson accepts a quest to retrieve Zeus' Master Bolt from Hades. On his journey, he runs into many monsters and in the end is betrayed by a friend.

I love this book so much. I think the book was unique because it combines adventure and mythical history. I would recommend this book to a friend, and I already have, too. The book was fun to read, and I even re-read the book. I related to the characters a lot because they are adventurous, caring, and nice. This book is about a boy, girl, and a satyr who go on a quest to keep the mythical gods happy. Percy is a boy who is very adventurous and he just kept trying. Annabeth is a girl who is always awaiting a quest to get out of a camp. Grover is a satyr that is nice, caring and someone who likes to eat soda cans.
