The Ghost of Blackwood Hall
by Carolyn Keene

This Nancy Drew Mystery, The Ghost of Blackwood Hall, ties in with "ghosts" and séances. It starts when Mrs. Putney calls on Nancy, because her most valuable jewels are stolen. This takes Nancy to New Orleans with her two friends, Bess and George. Next, new leads take her to Blackwood Hall where there is a rumor that a ghost lives at the hall. In the manor, Nancy discovers a secret room and a creepy musical "ghost" organ. After traveling to Lake Jasper, she returns and solves the mysteries of Blackwood Hall. Nancy discovers the secret room with the stolen jewels, money, and later captures the thieves. I enjoyed this book and I would definitely recommend it. This story is like all Nancy Drew books, because they all have the characters Nancy, Bess, George, Ned, Hannah, and Mr. Drew. It goes without saying that Nancy solves another mystery! Of course, there's a new victim and new criminals, like all Nancy Drew novels. The unique thing in this novel is the crooks us fake séances to trick people. I relate to Nancy because I want to be a detective following leads in order to solve cases. I thought this book was one of the better Nancy Drew stories. The case was more clever and difficult for Nancy to solve. This book is great for mystery fans!
