Ella Enchanted
by Gail Carson Levine
|
Ella Enchanted is about a girl who has to do everything she
is told. She was given this "gift" by a fairy named
Lucinda, who did not understand that forcing someone to be obedient
is definitely not a gift. Ella journeys throughout the book,
looking for Lucinda to beg her to take back the gift. This journey
tests Ella in everyway, with new dangers around every turn.

I think this book is one of those "I can't put it down"
books. You can't wait to find out how Ella of Frell fights her
way past her curse, the gift of obedience. You may ask "why
is that a curse?". Well, it's a curse because if someone
told her to chop off her own head she would have to do it. But
the curse only starts causing trouble when one of Dame Olga's
daughters, Hattie, discovers it and uses it for her own good.
It only gers worse when her widowed father marries Dame Olga
and when her father leaves on business Hattie shares her knowledge
with the rest of the family. Plus Prince Char son of the king
proposes to her. Will Ella put Prince Char in danger and marry
him? Find out in Ella Enchanted.
