Don't Judge
a Girl by Her Cover
by Ally Carter
|
In this story Macey McHenry's father is running for vice-president
and right before a campaign meet Macey, Cammie, and Preston
are victims to an attempted kidnapping. Cammie and Macey sustained
minor and some major injuries so they were taken to a safe house,
Mr. Solomon's house. During this time, Macey has gone through
a total 180 degree personality turn. When she goes back to Gallagher
Academy she now has a personal body guard, Cammie's Aunt Abigail
Cameron. Macey now has to stay safe, and still be able to pass
her classes. When another kidnapping attack happens Cammie realizes
that the kidnappers aren't after the future vice-president's
daughter, they're after her. This book was unique by having
a strong story line that kept you guessing who the kidnappers
were. I would recommend this book to all of my friends because
it's suspenseful, it's romantic, and overall it's really interesting.
I enjoyed reading this book because I am into the suspense ridden
romance novels, which this book includes both marvelously. In
this book I personally relate to Liz because she doesn't belong
in the Gallagher Academy for Exceptional Young Women (which
is really a school for spies and usually only young women who
have spies as parents are allowed in) because her parents aren't
spies, they drive Volvo's and go to PTA meetings. Liz was only
wanted at the Gallagher Academy because she has a photographic
memory and has exceptionally high grades in regular school.
