Diamonds in the Shadow
by Caroline B. Cooney

Diamonds in the Shadow is unique because it shows how people felt about getting a second chance in life because refugees come from nothing but can get a lot more if you help them. Yes I would recommend this book to my friends because it is a really good book and it always keeps you on the edge of yourself. I enjoyed reading this book because it was mysterious and adventurous and always kept you wondering whats next. I related to the characters because I felt their pain and loneliness and sacredness through the entire book. Not only did I relate to their pain and sacredness and loneliness but I also related to their joy and hope. That is how I feel about Diamonds in the Shadow.
