With the Light: Raising an Autistic Child (v. 2)
by Keiko Tobe

Hikaru Azuma was born with autism, a disorder that disrupts his entire life. This installment explores his later elementary school years, and the joys and tragedies that go along with it. It's a heartwarming book that at the same time can be reflective and sorrowful. It's appropriate for anyone over the age of 9 or 10, but I'd recommend it to teens who are sick of prototypical mainstream fare and are looking for something that's out of the box.
