The Truth About Forever
by Sarah Dessen

This book is about a girl, Macy, who is trying to get over her father's death. At first, she thinks she needs to be strong for her mother. Throughout the book, she learns that if you keep grievances like that bottled up, you'll never be able to get over them. In the end, she shows her mother that and she becomes more unpredictable. I learned that if we over think or plan ahead all the time we never really get a chance to just do or say what we want or what we feel. I also learned that when something bad does happen we should remain somewhat strong for other people, but also that if we want to move on with our lives [yet still remembering] we should talk about it with other people. If we don't, we end up feeling alone.

This book is about a girl, who's dad dies and she has a long time coping with his death. One summer she works for a catering company where she meets Wes. Wes helps her cope with the death and they begin a relationship. I would recommend this book to my friends. I enjoyed this book a lot.
