Powder Monkey
by Paul Dowswell

Powder Monkey is a great adventure filled with battles, friends, and loyalty.

Sam Witchall is a thirteen year old boy that lived in the 1800's. He lived in a small, quiet village with barely over 300 people, until he decides to join a merchant ship. In the time that followed, he made friends and foes, gets pressed by the Royal Navy, and braves fierce weather. While in the navy, he faces the differences in the ranks, the constant fear of flagging, and the ever present of torments of some shipments. Powder Monkey is an exciting read for anyone with a sense of adventure.
