In this book, Ann Marie and her friend, Ellen are growing up in the middle of World War II. Ellen who is a Jew is in trouble, so Ellen gets a little help from Ann Marie's family. This book was so exciting I could not put it down. Ann Marie is like me because she was willing to help her friend even though it was very dangerous. JEA 6/20/08
