The Hawk and the Jewel is a romance novel set during the mid-1800s.
As a child Sunny Gallagher was raised in the palace of Darhabar
as the favorite daughter of the ruler. Then one day close to
her15th birthday, everything changed.. She boarded a British
ship thinking she was to be taking a tour. Instead, she was
drugged into sleep and when she woke the ship was back on its
way to London. The remainder of the story follows Sunny's life
as she discovers why she was taken to London, and as she adjusts
to life in England. I greatly enjoyed this book and would recommend
it to all those who enjoy romance adventure books. Lori Wick,
the author has many books in this genre, and she has become
one of my favorite authors.
