A Rose for Melinda is a good, romantic book about a girl named
Melinda and a boy named Jesse. Melinda is a ballerina and dreams
of being one famous ballerina. Jesse dreams of being a member
of the Atlanta Braves Baseball team. Melinda and Jesse have
been best friends since 1st grade. In 3rd grade, Jesse has to
move to California with his mom. Melinda and Jesse keep in touch
by emails and mail and still are best friends. Then one summer
something bad happens; Melinda has cancer. Read the book to
see what happens. I would recommend this book to all of my girlfriends
that are in 6th grade and up. I think this book is a good one,
and I think my friends will enjoy it, too. I don't think I relate
to the characters that much, but maybe a little to one of Melinda's
friends named Bailey. She likes fashion like me.
