Holes
by Louis Sachar

In this book I read about some boys who went to Camp Green Lake because they did something bad. There's a boy named Stanley Yelnats, and he's new to the camp. He was cursed by his no good great, great grandfather. They had to dig holes to 5 feet each day. But one day, Stanley dug and he found water when digging a hole. This book was great. I would recommend this book to anyone. I enjoyed this book a lot because it was interesting. I don't think I can relate to this story, but others can probably relate.

Stanley had to go to Camp Green Lake because he was accused of stealing shoes. While he was at Camp Green Lake he had to dig a hole every day to build character, but he also met the person who really stole the shoes. The person's name was Zero, and he and Stanley became really good friends. So one night when Stanley and Zero were digging a hole, they found this chest that had Stanley's name on it. Then the next day, Stanley's lawyer came and took Zero and Stanley. Once Stanley's family had turned in what was in the chest into money they hired a team of investigators to look for Zero's real mom. After they found Zero's real mom they got all of the boys out of Camp Green Lake, and it was turned into a Girl Scouts Camp.
