The Boone Cabins

Daniel Boone's Cabin built in 1795 and House built by his son Nathaniel in 1820, both at Femme Osage, St. Charles County, Missouri.

Daniel Boone was America's most noted pioneer and backwoodsman.

Early day pioneer of North Carolina and Virginia, he was the first settler and pactically founder of the state of Kentucky.

Among the first settlers of the back country of St. Charles County and of Missouri where he was Commandant and Judge.




 
The Judgement Tree

During the Spanish Rule Daniel Boone held court under this tree at Femme Osage, St. Charles, Missouri.





HISTORICAL SUBJECT; - Building at St.Charles, Mo., said to have been used as the first legislative hall and seat of government of the state of Missouri.

Missouri was the first state entirely west of the Mississippi River admited to the United States, and St. Charles was designated as Missouri's first capitol.

Interior View of the Village Blacksmith Shop

Complete with hundreds of hand forged tools, horseshoeing equipment and horseshoes. The Old Rock Forge is operated with a large hand pump bellows for supplying forced draft to the fire pit. This is a typical blacksmith shop which existed in the small villages in the late 1800's.
