Images of Frenchtown

Between the years 1988 and 1998 Richard Vinson, Frenchtown Historian, commissioned drawings of people and places prominent in the history of the Frenchtown area of St. Charles, Missouri. The drawings were reproduced on postcards by Artist Bob Cays. Digitized images of these postcards can be viewed on this website, Images of Frenchtown.

Progressive St. Charles

The images in this database have been scanned from a 1916 publication of the Chamber of Commerce of St. Charles. It is entitled "Progressive St. Charles 1916" and was published by Thomas J. Campbell, Art Printing, 121 Jefferson Street, St. Charles, Missouri. An advertisement in the publication indicates that Campbell produced illustrated postcards, advertising, stationary , invitations, and visiting cards. Progressive St. Charles 1916.
