A Little History

The Bizelli-Fleming Local History Collection is a special collection of materials dealing with St. Charles, St. Louis and Missouri, and with genealogy. The collection was established in 1979. In 1982, when the new Kathryn Linnemann Branch was opened, the Local History Collection was established as a separate area containing about 500 volumes. In 1985 the Local History Collection was remamed the Bizelli-Fleming Local History Collection in honor of the contributions of two former library board members, Omar Bizelli and Dr. Robert Fleming.

The Collection

The Bizelli-Fleming Local History Collection is located at the Kathryn Linnemann Branch of the St. Charles City-County Library District and includes books, bound periodicals, microfilm, microfiche, periodicals, CD products, videos , and access to genealogical and historical information on the Internet. Books are classified by subject using the Dewey Decimal System. To discover what books are available in your area of interest, use the library's On-Line Catalog to access the collection by author, title, subject, or keyword. For more information on materials in this collection, check out resources in our collection..
