  Home site of this non-profit educational organization that publishes a variety of print and electronic media to promote organizational effectiveness. Offers a job opportunity center online, and TrendWatch, an online magazine from Management Review.
  
  
• U.S. Business Administration
  www.business.gov
  A government site devoted to supporting small business concerns. Provides the basics, such as starting your business, hiring employees, legal and tax considerations, and other information. Provides a section for minority-owned and women-owned small businesses. Also includes a topical section on small business issues, such as disaster recovery, and a section on getting out, for those who want to make a change.

This 13 volume reference work gives an exhaustive treatment to the subject of management. The definitions are given in a comprehensive format. A separate index is provided.

Databases

The library district subscribes to several online databases that may help you with your research. Those with a "Remote Access" button can be used from your home computer with a valid library card.

Following the link to the electronic databases will take you out of the Business & Public Management web pages and into the main library pages. Go to the library's Electronic Databases for Business & Public Management to find the databases purchased specifically to support business services.

For information regarding general management, you may want to try ABI/Inform or Business Source Premier. With these databases you may do keyword searches to find articles pertaining to your research. You may want to limit your results to full-text only.
