Job Title: Books 2 You Volunteer Manager

Purpose: The position Books 2 You Volunteer Manager serves as direct support for the Books 2 You Program.  Through administrative and support tasks the Books 2 You Manager will make sure all other outbound volunteers are stocked with book discussion kits, brochures, books, and other essential items to fulfill outreach requirements.

Location: Administrative Office located at 77 Boone Hills Dr. St. Peters, MO 63376.

Key Responsibilities:

• Helps coordinate delivery of services provided by programs to assigned community partners
• Works with Books 2 You Discussion Leaders to order discussion kits for community partner locations
• Places reserve orders for Books 2 You Home Visit Specialists
• Ensures reserve orders are ready for  Books 2 You Home Visit Specialists
• Helps collect information/registration cards from assigned community partner locations
• Helps enter information collected into eTapestry for further communications

Reports to: Extension Services Specialist

Length of Appointment: The Books 2 You Volunteer Manager will serve for at least 6 months and can stay on as a long-term volunteer.

Time Commitment: At least, one day per week (Books 2 You Volunteer Manager choice) for four hours.

Qualifications:

• Passion for working with senior community
• Basic knowledge of working in office environment
• Basic knowledge of computer and data entry
• Pleasant manner, patience, problem-solving ability, dependability
• Ability to mutli-task and manage multiple projects
• Ability to lift 25 pounds
• Vehicle to travel to partner locations

Support: Training/orientation for this position will be provided.  In addition, the Extension Services Specialist will be available for questions and assistance.

Age Requirement: 18 years or older
