LIBRARY PAGE

Location: Middendorf-Kredell Branch, 2750 Hwy K, O’Fallon, MO 63368
Status: Part Time, 12 hours per week, Sunday availability preferred.
Schedule: Week 1: Monday 12-4pm, Tuesday 12-4pm, Thursday 12-4pm
                 Week 2: Tuesday 12-4pm, Thursday 12-4pm, Saturday 2-6pm

The Library reserves the right to change schedules based on the operational needs of the District.

Duties: Perform routine manual and clerical work in the branch libraries. Duties include: filing books and materials alphabetically or numerically, straighten book and DVD shelves, clean, mend, and cover books, inspect and clean DVD’s. Empty book drop or delivery boxes. The Page may assist librarians with preparation of program materials or meeting spaces. Responsible for light cleaning inside the branch and litter pick up outside of the building.

Requirements:Strong filing and clerical skills. Accuracy and speed performing repetitive tasks. Excellent customer service attitude and good phone manners. Library experience as a customer or volunteer preferred. Knowledge of the Dewey Decimal System preferred. Must be at least 16 years old.

Physical Requirements: Physical requirements associated with this position include but are not limited to: standing for extended periods of time, walking, bending, kneeling, pushing/pulling a book cart that weighs up to 75 lbs., picking up materials that weighs up to 30 lbs., and the ability to read small print on book spine.

Rate: $9.46 per hour
