With the exception of the annual United Way appeal, employees of the St. Charles
City-County Library District shall not be solicited by the Library District to contribute
monetarily to school, church, fraternal or other civic groups or fund drives of the
community.
Any contract between employees for such donations or solicitations shall be strictly a
private matter without official endorsement. Employees in supervisory or management
positions should be especially mindful of the appearance of undue pressure on a
subordinate which such solicitations may engender.
