Department: General Administration Reports to: Director Salary Track: I-J FLSA Status: Exempt Salary: SUMMARY:Responsible for coordinating District wide strategic planning providing administrative support in fulfilling the goals and objectives as established by the Library Director and the Library Board of Trustees. Also, responsible for establishing and managing the Library Foundation for fund raising; directing all fund raising activities for the District including developing volunteer sources; managing the library gift shop; coordinating fund raising activities for the Friends of the Library. May develop and coordinate appropriate grants for the Library District, as directed. Works cooperatively, as needed, with staff and community representatives to achieve goals. Supervision received is administrative, with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

EQUIPMENT USED:Personal computer, printer, copier, calculator, cash management system, fax, automated phone system and other computer or business equipment. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Must be able to work independently, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, have three years experience in planning and development work, including fund raising, and have knowledge of library operations. Must have BA/BS degree in a related field; prefer master's degree in Non-Profit Management, Public Policy or a related field.
