Interlibrary Loan - Denial of Service

ILL privileges may be suspended if a patron fails to pick up a requested item, return an item late, or loses an item. Repeated abuses may result in a permanent denial of ILL services.

Failure to pick up a borrowed ILL item may result in denial of ILL services for 30 days. A second occurrence may result in denial of ILL services for 6 months. Repeated occurrences may result in denial of ILL services for 1 year.

Failure to return a borrowed ILL item may result in a processing charge of $25 plus the cost of the item as billed by the lending library, and overdue fines up to 30 days. These fines and fees will be charged to the patron’s card. Denial of service, Policy C064 and C128 will be in effect for failure to return items on time.

Constant abuses of the ILL services may result in a permanent denial of ILL services. Constant abuses include failure to return ILL items on time, and/or, failure to pick up borrowed items, and/or loss of an ILL item.
