You Receive
Annual Leave 1st pay period 100 hours per year with increases at 3, 8 and 15 years of service.  Maximum accrual:  240 hours
Sick Leave 1st pay period of employment 4 hours per pay period, 96 hours per year.  Maximum accrual:  600 hours
Sick Leave Recognition Exempt: Dec 1-Nov 30

Non-Exempt (hourly):

  Nov 22 - Nov 21

Employees are eligible for quarterly and annual recognition if sick leave is not used. 

FT:  $40 per quarter

Holidays Upon Employment 10 paid holidays per year:

7 holidays when the District is closed;

3 Floating Holidays – ML King Day, Presidents’ Day, and Veteran’s Day

Medical & Dental Insurance 1st of month following hire date Employees must apply for coverage.  Library District and employee share the cost.
Long Term Disability Insurance 1st of month following

hire date

Continuation of 60% of base salary due to illness or injury lasting 90+ days.  District pays for the insurance.
Life Insurance 1st of month following hire date Term life insurance policy equal to annual salary up to $50,000.  District pays for the insurance.
Cobra Upon Employment  Continuation of insurance coverage for specific time after separation from library.
 Retirement Plan (LAGERS) After 6 months of employment  Library District pays for the retirement plan.
Employee Assistance Program  (EAP) Upon Employment  Benefit, prepaid by the Library District, to provide assistance for employees and their families with  problems which may affect work or home life.
Compassionate Leave Upon Employment  Up to 3 days off with pay for death in immediate family.
Flexible Spending Account

IRS Code 125/129

Upon Employment  Establishment of reimbursement accounts with pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible medical expenses, dependent care expenses or insurance premiums for insurance offered thru the District.
Deferred Compensation Plan IRS Code 457 Upon Employment  Savings program tailored to suit your needs.  Library District matches your contributions up to 3% based on years of service.
 Scheduled Salary Review Regular intervals determined when hired.  
Salary increases based on specific salary scale and work performance.
Social Security Upon Employment  
Financial assistance during retirement or for permanent disability.
 Workers Compensation Upon Employment  
Insurance to provide benefits if you sustain a work related injury.
Vantage Credit Union Upon Employment  
A full range of services including direct deposit and payroll deductions for savings plans.
Tuition Assistance Upon Employment  
Not to exceed $225 semester, $150 quarter hour or 70% of tuition cost.  75% of textbook cost.  For approved classes only.
Jury Duty  Upon Employment  
Time off granted with pay to perform jury duty.
 Book, Video, Cassette & CD Purchase  Upon Employment  
Published materials may be purchased at library cost.
 Books 'n More Gift Shop Upon Employment  
10% discount on all merchandise purchased.
