Float Pool

The Library District set up a pool of workers to provide work areas with substitute staff. The float pool substitute may be used to allow regular staff time away from their regular duties for training or attending workshops/seminars. It may also be used to cover long term illness or unexpected leaves.

Float pool staff may be past employees, current part time staff, or other individuals employed for a temporary period. Current part time staff are eligible to join the float pool and to work additional hours as long as their yearly total of hours remain below 1,500 hours.
