Jury Duty

Full time and part time employees will receive time off, with pay, to perform jury duty. Proof of jury attendance may be required. In all cases, employees may keep jury duty fees.

Voting

Any person entitled to vote at any election held within this state shall be entitled to be absent from work for a period of 3 hours for the purpose of voting. If there are 3 successive hours while the polls are open in which the employee is not scheduled to work, no time off will be allowed.

Immediate supervisors must receive any requests for time off prior to the election day. The supervisor may specify any 3 hours between the time of opening and the time of closing of the polls, during which employees may be absent for the purpose of voting.
