to KidsHealth! KidsHealth is the largest and most visited site on the
Web providing doctor-approved health information about children from
before birth through adolescence. Created by The Nemours Foundation's
Center for Children's Health Media, the award-winning KidsHealth provides
families with accurate, up-to-date, and jargon-free health information
they can use. KidsHealth has separate areas for kids, teens, and parents
- each with its own design, age-appropriate content, and tone. There
are literally thousands of in-depth features, articles, animations,
games, and resources - all original and all developed by experts in
the health of children and teens.

Quackwatch,
Inc., which was a member of Consumer Federation of America for 30 years,
is a nonprofit corporation whose purpose is to combat health-related
frauds, myths, fads, and fallacies. Its primary focus is on quackery-related
information that is difficult or impossible to get elsewhere. Founded
by Dr. Stephen Barrett in 1969 as the Lehigh Valley Committee Against
Health Fraud, it was incorporated in 1970. In 1997, it assumed its current
name and began developing a worldwide network of volunteers and expert
advisors.

TransWeb
features news and events, real people's experiences, the top 10 myths
about donation, a donation quiz, and a large collection of questions
and answers, as well as a reference area with everything from articles
to videos. For adults and teens, TransWeb features Give Life: The Transplant
Journey a multimedia trip through the donation and transplantation process.
A comprehensive subject index, the ability to search the site, and improved
navigation make TransWeb useful for a broad audience, including not
only transplant patients and their families, but also students and teachers,
health care professionals, and the media.

Virtual
Hospital is a digital health sciences library created in 1992 at the
University of Iowa to help meet the information needs of health care
providers and patients. The goal of the Virtual Hospital digital library
is to make the Internet a useful medical reference and health promotion
tool for health care providers and patients. The Virtual Hospital digital
library contains thousands of textbooks and booklets for health care
providers and patients.
