Kathryn Linnemann Library is Open!

After being closed nearly 11 months for expansion and total interior remodeling, the Kathryn Linnemann Branch of the St. Charles City-County Library District reopened on Monday, November 17 at 9:00 a.m. The Kathryn Linnemann Library is located at 2323 Elm St. in St. Charles.

“The staff is excited to be welcoming everyone back, and is enjoying showing our customers around their big & beautiful new library,” said Branch Manager Ann King.

The St. Charles City-County Library District will invite the entire community to an official grand opening week of activities the first week in December. “We thank all of our library customers for their patience throughout this construction project” stated Library Director, Carl R. Sandstedt. “We think everyone will be amazed and proud of the new Kathryn Linnemann Branch Library.”

Relax with your book, magazine, newspaper or laptop in the
Reading Room. Complete with a working fireplace!

Head down this way to the new separate area just for kids.
The kids area includes a program room, computer area for kids & plenty of tables and chairs for kids to enjoy the library.
Picture book area includes cozy seating and
tiny chairs that are "Just Right!"
The library features a large reading room with lots of comfortable seating.
Study while you enjoy a hot or cold drink from
our beverage area.
