Recognition -  Tenure Awards


Library District employees shall be recognized for years of service to the District based on five year increments, i.e., recognition at year 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, etc. The recognition may be formally announced at a District event or may be informally recognized through individual notification. Tenure recognition awards are a token of the District’s appreciation and are not meant to be a large sum of money or an expensive gift. The awards may consist of but not be limited to award certificates, gift certificates, plaques, or small cash awards.

As arranged with the Friends of the St. Charles City-County Library District, the funding for the Tenure Awards will be donated to the Library District by the Friends. The Friends’ President or representative may be present at the time the awards are given to employees. Employees receiving Tenure Awards will be announced in the staff newsletter.
