Schedule: Full Time position, Day, evening and Saturday hours as needed

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Information Resource Manager is responsible for marketing and promoting the Consumer Health/Government Documents collections and services.   This is accomplished through public presentations, participation in local, state, and national committees related to the special collections and networking.  Management of the collection and services requires providing: system-wide services, maintaining and developing the collections, updating the District’s webpage, and building Community contacts and partnerships.     The Information Resource Manager will work within the guidelines of the Federal Depository Collection and SuDocs cataloging system.   Also, some work in the general reference area of the library branch with management responsibilities for supervising, training, and scheduling staff members.    

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Successful candidates must have an accredited Masters in Library Science and 3 years relevant experience; a passion for serving the community; a strong desire and innovative ideas to promote the special collection and services.   Excellent verbal and written communication skills, highly organized, able to multitask, and proven managerial experience is preferred.

RATE

$58,236 to $70,848 for MLS; $65,508 to $79,704 for second masters.
